Illuminasi Muzik - Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-23

I am not a big fan of AJL neither any other singing competition TV shows except a few songs that I found catchy such as the winner "Lagu Untukmu" of course. Therefore I ended up watching the AJL only on selected performances.

At the same time I still feel pity for our society who view (or should I say worship?) entertainment industry sky high. While at the same time our younger generations morality is getting worse (Me included I admit).

Anyway, I love Wikipedia. It's very informative & an easy reference for any topics, just type & search - the articles will not blow your head off. Just remember it is an open source & not really suitable for professional references.

So a few days ago I tried to read article on "Anugerah Juara Lagu" in Wikipedia. It listed the champions since the 1st AJL including the English Translation for the songs' titles & I can't help but laugh. Here are some excerpts:

Kau Kunci Cintaku di Dalam Hatimu - “You are the Key to My Love in Your Heart”
Man, that's deep.

Cinta Beralih Arah - 'Love Turns Away"
Cinta U-Turn more like it.

Teratai Layu Di Tasik Madu - “Dying Lotus in the Honey Lake”
The lotus in dying coz honey's moisture content is scientifically very low.

Tanya Sama Itu Hud Hud - “Ask the Woodpecker”
Haha. Woody Woodpecker I guess.

The mother of song title translation:
Cindai - “Scarf”

Who the f**k sing a song about a scarf? Poor Dato' Siti... What's next? Underwear?

Certainly the real a-hole is the one who voluntarily created the entry for AJL in Wikipedia.

And I certainly feel pity for the artist/composer/lyricist of those songs...

44th President of USA: Saya Kangen Nasi Goreng, Bakso, dan Rambutan

"Saya kangen Nasi Goreng, Bakso, dan Rambutan", said Obama during a phone conversation with Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (Indonesian President).

And there it was, the first African-American president of the most powerful country was inaugurated on 20th January 2009.

His inauguration even commemorated the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, perhaps the most excellence 16th President.

We can only hope that Obama will bring new era to USA.

Speaking of which, he has also bring something new...
A President with six pack abs...

And as a Malaysian, I just hope that our future Prime Minister also, either he is,

or this guy...

will also have the six pack strength to lead our nation for better future...

Hail Malaysia!

Gross!

Hello,

I didn't publish for a while coz I was quite occupied.

There was this EVIL Israeli military eh, terrorism operation.

And then there was the Kuala Terengganu by election.

And those things made me busy... puking!

Yes, puking...

Puking on gross actions by the Israelis on the helpless Palestinians,

On our 'hot-hot chicken shit' (I pray not) stance on Israel,

And on our politicians mindset towards our society, how they treat us,

They thought our people can be bought with seasonal development project bribery ,

They thought our people can be bought with the return of royalty money,

Luckily the people of KT were not cheap.

Don't get me wrong, in the future if Pakatan Rakyat do the same on our people I will puke on their faces!

To hell with Palestine

Joe, a self-claimed contemporary Malaysian Muslim says:

"To hell with Palestine!

That's thousands of miles away from my home!

I have no single relative in Palestine!

Palestinians deserved it coz Hamas bombed innocent Israelis!

We should use the money for our nation's development!

We have our own problems to be taken care of!

Orthodox Muslim teachings promote terrorism!

I work hard for my wealth, I myself deserved it!

I'm busy with my job/study/family/business etc...

To hell with Palestine!"

But truly in the end, who's actually going to hell?

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself." - Sahih Bukhari.

Let's contribute anything that we capable of to our brothers in Palestine. Even our tears...

Air Asia stinks! Kuching stinks! aka Kuching Trip January 2009

So last week i spent 2 days/1 night in Kuching for a possible business discussion with an old friend.

I also brought along a bottle of budu for him, as he missed the taste of it for years.

Upon touched down at Kuching International Airport, I couldn't resist touching the pavement of the plane's parking area with my palm (I traveled with Air Asia) as I missed The Cat City like hell...

1st activity: Presentation of our business plan. Looks promising, my retire young, retire rich plan is in my head.

Then: Check in at Empire Inn, a budget hotel near the Sarawak River - Just next to Sarawak Plaza.
2 future businessmen staying in a budget hotel? Hmmm, that will change next year. Coz I'm targeting Kuching Hilton for my next trip!

Next: Lunch @ Hartz Chicken Buffet, Sarawak Plaza (what the hell am I doing in Kuching eating foods that I can easily get in West M'sia?).

Then: Wandering around the surrounding malls: Sarawak Plaza, Tun Jugah & Parkson. For a year lots has happened in Kuching. For example: Crowne Plaza hotel is now Riverside Majestic & Holiday Inn is now Grand Margherita. More buildings are being built around the city though the serenity is not 'raped', yet. I pray that will never happen.

Feeling tired, back to hotel for a shower.

Open my bag... but something smells fishy...

OMG! THE BUDU BOTTLE BROKE!!!
Even the liquid budu has nearly dried in my bag & stained some of my clothes... Then I remember my bag strap torn & I dropped my bag when I was heading to LCCT that morning. That must when it happened.

CRAP!!! My bag & even some of my clothes smelled like SHIT.

MEGA CRAP!!! I must have left some stain/odour in the overhead compartment of the plane.

My buddy Z, also forgive me in case i left some stain in your precious car...

My beloved Kuching, pls forgive me for the odour pollution...

Dear Air Asia/Dato' Tony Fernandes: pls forgive me for the above reasons & pls don't ban me in the future for smuggling chemical weapon on board your new Airbus A320...

Moral: Ke mana tumpahnya budu kalau tak dalam kapal terbang...

note: All pics are just for illustration purposes. They are not mine. However the experiences are 100% historical facts.
